Deceased was born in Washington township near the Sauers church. After the death of his wife he lived with his son at Seymour and then went to Indianapolis to make his home with his daughter. He was one of Jackson county’s highly respected German citizens and was well known throughout the county. Besides his daughter he leaves four sons, George, of Indianapolis; Edward, of Seymour; Fred, of Cincinnati, and William, who works for August Vondielinger on the Seymour road. The remains were brought to Seymour for burial.
