The death angel again visited the neighborhood in the home of Resa O. Lutes 
and summoned his beloved wife Ida, to that home above. Her death occurred last 
Friday night, May 9th, 1902, after a long illness of consumption. She was 28 
years of age. She united with the Christian church at this place and was a 
faithful member of the same until her death. The funeral services were 
conducted by Elder Thomas Jones, Saturday at 4 p. m. after which the remains 
were laid to rest in Houston cemetery. She leaves a husband and three 
children, a mother and two sisters to mourn. She was a kind and loving mother, 
and was loved and respected by all who knew her. The relatives have the 
sympathy of the entire community.
