Brownstown Banner, Thursday 30 Mar 1927

Shutters – Mrs. Amanda Shutters, age 76, for many years a resident of Seymour, 
died at Madison Tuesday morning following an extended illness of a 
complication of diseases.

            Mrs. Shutters was born in Jackson county, October 26, 1851. On 
November 3, 1870, she was married to John W. Shutters, who preceded  her in 
death in 1883. She leaves one daughter, Miss Blanche Shutters; one son, Frank 
Shutters, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

            The body was brought to Seymour Tuesday evening for burial.
