Brownstown Banner - Wednesday 27 Oct 1886
Sweany, Jane – Died at the family residence near Jaketown, Tuesday, Oct 26, of 
typhoid fever, Mrs. Jane Sweany, aged 52 years. She was born near Farmington 
and passed her whole life in this vicinity. Her maiden name was Ruddick, and 
her husband, Levi Sweany, died several years ago. Four grown children survive 
her: Morton Ruddick, Mrs. Frank Ruddick, Mrs. Wm. Booth and Mrs. Louis 
Richardson. Interment in the Ruddick cemetery, Thursday.
