She was married to John W. Goble in 1850. To this union eleven children were born, five of whom are still living, namely: Sarah McMahan, Susan Carmichael, W. W. Asbery and Edmond Goble. Her first husband dying about 1884, she married Richard Acton about 1886, who died several years afterwards and she was married to John H. Cummins, June 1903, who with five brothers and the above children and grand- children survive to mourn her death. She was taken with a severe attack of lagrippe which continued for about a week when she suffered a stroke of paralysis which caused her death. She was a member of the M. E. Church having joined the same when quite young. She was a kind mother, a faithful wife, and industrious woman and a friend to all in time of need. Owing to the inclemency of the weather Wednesday, the funeral services were held at the house after which the remains were laid to rest in the Thompson cemetery by the side of her first husband.
