Houston News: Eliza Thompson died Sunday, August 23, of general disability. She
was the daughter of David and Sally Cummings, and was born in Tennessee, January
11, 1810. She married Rev Andrew Thompson in Lawrence Co., this State, who died
a few years ago, on January 20, 1826, and they reared a large family. On Monday
her remains were interred in the burial ground south of town, beside her husband.

Asberry Thompson and wife, of Scottsburg, were in attendance at the funeral of
his mother here on Sunday.
