Brownstown Banner, pub. July 1895
Houston News: Coronor [sic] J. H. Scott held an inquest upon the remains of Eli
F. Thompson, at this place, June 25, and rendered a verdict that deceased died
from the effects of a poisonous dose of morphine administered by his own hand
with suicidal purpose.

	Asbury Thompson, of Scottsburg, attended the funeral of his brother, Eli W.
Thompson, at this place, last Wednesday.
