Jay County Indiana bio. Evilsizer, Thomas.B.Dr - a phsician and surgen, of Green Township removed to Jay County in 1869. His parents were Henry and Mary Jane (Patterson) Evelsizor. His wife Mary (Castle), Evelsizer, daughter of Amos and Rutha Jane (Kim) Castle, was born October 26, 1844, in Fulton County, Illinois.They were married in Knox County, Illinois, November 18, 1859. Nine chidren have blessed their union, namely:  Elnory, born March 5, 1861;  Stephen Allen, March 20, 1863; George William, November 14, 1865; died Feb. 2, 1867;  Viola Jane, Dec. 3, 1867;  Margaret Ann, June 10, 1871;  Mary Agnes, March 19, 1873, died May 30, 1878;  William Henry, Sept. 20, 1875;  Elizabeth Arila, Feb. 15, 1878;   Aquilla Arilla, May 15, 1880 Dr. Evelsizer had his birth in Delaware County, Indiana. September 27, 1838. He is the present coroner of Jay County, being elected in October 1878; e-elected in 1880. He graduated and received diploma at the Chicago Medical College, in the autumn of 1858, has practicedmedicine and surgery in Illinois, is at present practicing medicine inGreene Township. His father, Henry Evelsizer, was one of the early settlers of thecounty, he aiding in the first survey thereof. His death occured in Jay County October 10, 1879, he being in his eightieth year.
