September 23, 1930 Vincennes, Ind., September 18 -- At Sandborn, in this county, the Meur and Blevin families engaged in a bloody riot this morning in which knives, pistols and axes were freely used, and two of the Meurs were fatally hacked with an ax and Rufus Blevins was shot and instantly killed, while two of his brothers were dangerously injured. The riot grew out of a family feud of long standing.
