There was, perhaps, some cause for this self-destruction, but it has gone to the grave with her, so far as the public is concerned, and it is best that it should be so. Between the terrible convulsions which attacked her after taking the poison at about 3 oclock in the afternoon until death came to her relief at 7 in the evening, she steadfastly refused to say why she took the poison. She had not been in the best of health for over a year, but was, it is understood, getting better of late. The funeral was held Tuesday at the Union church south of town and the interment took place at that cemetery under direction of Walters & Snyder. If there was any love affair at the bottom of this young life the poetry has all been reduced to prose - hard prose, for those whom she leaves behind to mourn her untimely and uninviting death.
