FUNERAL THURSDAY FOR ROBERT HUISH
Funeral services for Robert (Bob) E. Huish, general business
manager of THE CALUMET NEWS, will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.
from Burns Memorial Chapel at 43rd Avenue and Broadway in Glen
Park. The Rev. John Elliott will officiate the services.
Huish, 50, passed away suddenly on Monday (July 4, 1977) at his
Merrillville home. An East Chicago native, he had resided in
Merrillville for the last 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie L. of Merrillville; two
sons, D. Lance and Robert K., both of Merrillville; two
daughters, Mrs. Leroy (Carol) Langel of Merrillville and
Kathleen E. of Merrillville; mother, Mrs. Lela P. Huish of
East Chicago.
Friends may call at the Burns Chapel Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m.
and 7 to 9 p.m.
Huish is a 1945 graduate of East Chicago Roosevelt high school.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 369 and Chicago
Typographical Union #16.
Interment will be at Ridge Lawn Cemetery, Gary.
