Mahns, Donald E. -age 57 of Coloumbus, Ohio, formerly of Hammond, has gone 
home to be with the Lord, the Father in Heaven.  Survivors: wife, Patricia; 
one daughter; one son, Richard Mahns of Houston, Texas; mother, Mrs. Elvera 
Keilman of Hammond; four brothers, Gerald (Unavailable) of Hammond, Robert 
(Unavailable) of Munster, William (Unavailable) of Orland Park and Unavailable 
(Unavailable) of Whiting; several nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by 
his daughter, Kim and grandson.
Funeral services Monday, March 10, 9:30 a.m. from the Solan Funeral Home, 7109 
Calumet Ave., Hammond to St. John Bosco Church for 10 a.,. Mass with Rev. 
Unavailable, Celebrant.  Burial St. Joseph Cemetery.  Visitation Sun. 2 to 5 
and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mr. Mahns was a lifelong resident of the Calumet Area; employed as sales 
manager for Federated Foods Inc. in Arlington, Heights, Illinois; formerly 
employed at the Bordon Company in Columbus, Ohio; veteran of World War II; 
member of St. Vincent De Paul Society; member of Breadcrumbs Inc., Columbus, 
Ohio.
