PENDLETON.

A flourishing town in Madison county, on the Bellefontaine railroad, eight miles
from Anderson, the' county seat, and twenty-eight east from Indianapolis. It has
three churches, a woolen factory, one weekly newspaper, tannery, Odd Fellows and
Good Templars Lodges, good schools, etc. Population about 600.
