She suffered a stroke of apoplexy about seven weeks ago and since has beenin a critical condition. She was moved to the hospital two weeks ago. She was one of thirteen children born to Harry and Ellen Armstrong. She was born in Ohio and when five years of age she removed with her parents to the Armstrong homestead northwest of Elwood. Parents Died When Small. Shortly after removing to this community her father died and when she was fifteen her mother passed away. She was never married. She had the responsibility of taking care of the family after the parents passed away. This beloved woman was held in high esteem by her wide circle of friends and many hearts will be saddened by her passing away. Her entire life since she was five years of age was spent on the farm northwest of the city. Seven Brothers and Sisters Surviving are six brothers, Wilbur Armstrong, living north of Elwood; William S. Armstrong, of Greentown; George E. Armstrong, near Windfall; ???? Armstrong, north of Elwood; Charles E. Armstrong, of Oklahoma, ??? Ross Armstrong, living north of the city, and one sister Mrs. William ?? Ellis, of Greentown. The body was removed from the hospital to the Copher and Fesler Funeral home and prepared for burial. Funeral services will be conducted by the Knox Chapel United Brethren Church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The burial will be made in the Knox Chapel cemetery.
