The Somerset herald. (Somerset, Pa.): May 04, 1892
Jacob Berkebile, a native of Shade township this county, died at Anderson, Indiana,
last Thursday. He was foreman of the Cambria Wire Mill at Johnstown at the time of
the flood. He lost all of his effects but none of his family were drowned. He moved
to Anderson about two years ago. He leaves a wife and six children, and also three
brothers Daniel, Noah and Joseph, the two last named residents of Shade township.
Deceased was about 62 years of age.
