Alexandria Times-Tribune, January 30, 1906
AGED RESIDENT PASSES AWAY
Abram DeVault, the aged father of Mrs. James Reeves, died at 10:45 o'clock 
today at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reeves, 201 Lincoln avenue.  Death resulted 
from old age, after an illness of three weeks.
    Funeral service will be conducted at the home Thursday morning by the Rev. 
A. G. Neal, of the First M.E. church, at a time not yet definitely fixed.  
Burial will be made in the Miller cemetery, eight miles east of the city in 
Delaware county.
     Mr. DeVault was eighty-six years old and a native of North Carolina.  He 
had resided in Madison county for sixty years.
