Anderson Morning Herald, August 5, 1906
James Hall, former resident of Alexandria in early days, and brother of the 
late well known Jesse Hall, of near this city, died a few days ago at his 
home, Elmwood, Neb., where he has lived since 1853.  Since locating in the 
west, Mr. Hall received much political preferment, being twice sent to the 
state legislature, elected sherriff and won other honors.  He was veteran of 
the Civil War and fourscore years of age.
