The body was taken to Anderson yesterday to lie in state in the Knights of Pythias lodge rooms, where a memorial service was held last night. Eulogies were pronounced by M. M. Dunlap, Judge John F. McClure, Dr. C. C. Cissell and others. The remains were taken to Pendleton this morning and the funeral service will be held there at 4 o'clock. A special train in charge of the Knights of Pythias and U.R.K. of P. will leave Anderson this afternoon at 3 o'clock and several Alexandria knights will be members of the party. The decedent was the father of Eugene T. Ireland, formerly of this city. He was well known in Alexandria and had many warm friends in the ranks of the Knights of Pythias, of which order he was a prominent and honored member.
