Mr. Kubic was 55 and had worked as a glass worker in Alexandria for a number of years. Mr. Kubic had been staying at a rooming house on West Church street and was found dead at 6:30 pm by the owner of the rooming house. His body was taken to Mr. John F. Merker, undertaker, while awaiting funeral arrangements. Two weeks prior to death, Mr. Kubic had been admitted to the state hospital for tuberculosis patients at Rockville, IN. Mr. Kubic was shortly thereafter sent to Alexandria as incurable. Mr. Kubic had three daughters and five sons and an estranged wife. Mr. Kubic was also a member of the Lutheran Church. Additional Comments: August Kubic had immigrated to the U.S. from Germany, sometime in the late 1880's to early 1890's.
