Additional Comments: Louis Benjamin Striebel, was born on 26 February 1884 in Kalamazoo, Michigan and died in December 1968 in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. He was buried at Section 234, Lot 108 , Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana on December 4, 1968. Louis Benjamin Striebel served during World War I and was honorably discharged at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana.He married Elizabeth Vogus on February 6, 1918 in Indianapolis but the divorced by 1921. He was a stepfather to Viola Vogus until his marriage to Nannette Serena Walters of Pittsburg, Kentucky.Nannette, was the widow of Corporal David Reed Martin, of Gray, Kentucky, who perished on October 22, 1918 during the global Spanish Influenza epidemic.Nannette had David's son, Vernon Eugene Martin, born on September 18, 1916 in Gray, Kentucky, when she married Louis.Louis and Nannette became parents of Bernice Christine Striebel on December 15, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio.They returned to Indianapolis, and lived their lives in Center Township, until his death in 1968.According to various sources he was a machinist, painter, and general contractor for many years. Louis' father was William Frederick Striebel of Louisville, Kentucky, and his mother was Caroline "Nettie" Shinville.
