FULGHUM Last Tribute to Noble and Much Loved Woman Saturday Morning E. J. Fulghum will return tomorrow with the body of his mother, Mrs. Rebecca Fulghum, who died in Indianapolis Tuesday night. The funeral will be held from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Fulghum on Eighth street Saturday morning at 10 p'clock. The service will be in charge of Rev. M. A. Kelsey of the Friends church, assisted by Rev. W. L. Laufman of the First Methodist church. the pall bearers will be Rev. Josiah Pennington, J. L. Stauton, G. W. Lardie, C. D. Kenyon, G. A. Holliday and J. R. Bowen, all of whom have been friends of the deceased for many years. Rebecca Jessup was born in North Carolina, July 7, 1813. She lived in that state until she was 13 years of age, when she removed with her parents to Indiana. Here she was married to Joseph Fulghum in 1833?. Fourteen years ago they remoed to Traverse City, where they made their home till the time of Mr. Fulghum's death in 1889. Mrs. Fulghum lived with her children here most of the time since, spending part of the time however, with her daughter in INdianapolis, at whose home she died. It was her intention up to within a few days of her death to return to this city to spend the summer. A letter eceived here the day before her death stated that she was apparently better, and the news of her death came as a shock to her relatives here. Mrs. Fulghum was one of the best loved women in the city and wherever she went. Her friends were limited only by the number that made her acquaintance, and among young and old she was loved as few people ever are. Her loss will be keenly felt, especially the Friends church, of which she was a member all her life, where her counsel and wisdom were esteemed as very valuable u to the time that she last left the city.
