LOCAL and PERSONAL.

The news of the death of John A. McClain at Indianapolis last Thursday, was a shock
to his many friends in 
Franklin.  He leaves two children, Miss Florence, a teacher in the Franklin public
schools, and Fred, a member 
of Co. E. 158th Indiana Volunteers.  The burial took place here last Friday
afternoon.
