The Indianapolis News
ROUSE -- Phoebe, relict of Jack Ropuse, at her late residence, 177 West 
Vermont Street of dropsy, aged fifty years.  Funeral tomorrow (Friday) at 2 
p.m., from residence.

Note:  Phebe Rouse was born 20 years old and born in Ohio in the 1820 
Indianapolis Census.  She was the widow of Hiram Jack Rouse, who died in 1888 
in Indianapolis.  He was partner in the Shepherd and Rouse grocery store.  Her 
son was Harry Rendo Roswell Rouse. 

Marion County Health Department Certificate of Death Certificate Number 3217. 
Vol. 5, Page 321 states: Phebe Rouse Death date:  7/25/1889Age:  47     
Marital Status:  WidowedCause of death:  Bright's DiseaseCemetery:  Greenlawn
