Bonham News, July 9, 1886  - Texas

SHROEDER, C.W., MR. - McKinney, Texas, July 2nd - This evening Mr. C.W. 
Shroeder, a plumber, who came from Dallas to fit and arrange the gas tank which 
is being arranged for lighting the Collin County bank, went into the well to 
fit the tank.  Some time after, one of the workmen went to call Shroeder and 
found him lying at the bottom of the well.  Mr. Al Jones, of this city, hastily 
tying a rope to himself, descended and brought the body up.  Efforts to revive 
him were fruitless.  Shroeder has letters showing that he came from 
Indianapolis, Indiana.  (Bonham News, July 9, 1886)
