Vernon Eugene Martin was born on September 18, 1916 at home at Gray, Knox County, KY. His parents were David Radford Martin & Nannette Serena Walters who married on September 25, 1915 at the Martin home in Gray. Vernon Eugene Martin served the U.S. Navy enlisting in Indianapolis, IN on July 30, 1935. Vernon Eugene Martin perished on January 6, 1985 at Lebanon, Linn County, Oregon Additional Comments: Brother of Theodore Roosevelt Martin and stepson of Louis Benjamin Striebel. Vernon was also known as "Mike Striebel" a name he invented himself.
