They were wed on March 24, 1923,in Cleveland, Cuyagoga County, Ohio. Though the gravestone states that Louis Benjamin Striebel was born in 1885 he was in fact born on 26 FEB 1884 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. His father and mother were William Frederick STRIEBEL and Nettie "Caroline" SHINVILLE. Nannie' s mother and father were Parks B. WALTERS b. 1843 in Kentucky,d. April 29, 1898, Pittburg KY) and her mother was Claredina "Callie" SEWELL b. March 15, 1863, Tennesse. Nann had two brother's from her father's previous marriage Parks Monroe Walters and Nathan Walters.. She had four sybling from the marriage between her own mother and father: Annie Walters born 10 Dec 1889 KY, William Walters born 9 Dec 1891 KY, and James born 4 Sept 1895, KY. Louis married Elizabeth K. Vogus on 6 Feb 1918 in Marion County, Indiana, but that marriage ended in divorce in 1921. Nannie was the widow of David Reed Martin, who perished from the Spanish Influenza in October 22, 1918 in Corbin, Knox County, Kentucky. Nannie had three children: With David Reed Martin she bore Vernon Eugene Martin September 18, 1916, and Theodore Roosevelt Martin, both at Gray, Knox County, Kentucky. With Louis B. Striebel, she bore Bernice (aka Berniece) Christine Striebel, on December 15, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio.
