Deceased was born in Starke county, Ohio in 1847, came with his parents to German township in 1848 and this county has since been his home. He resided in German township where he was engaged in the lumber business with his brother, Benjamin Snyder, until 1879, when he moved to the farm where he died. He was elected county commissioner in 1896 and served six years. He was united in marriage with Caroline Huff in 1878, and to this union ten children were born, seven of whom, five sons and two daughters, with their mother, are now living. Henry Snyder was an excellent citizen, reared a good family and had a farm of 350 acres of excellent land finely improved. Funeral at the Argos M.E. church Wednesday; burial at Maple Grove cemetery east of Argos.
