Plymouth Republican, 8 Mar 1894
James Voreis, one of the earliest pioneers of this county, died at the home of 
his son William, in Green township, aged 88 years.  He suffered a fall from 
some steps last Saturday night and was so badly shocked that he died 
yesterday.  He was the father of William, Washington and Thomas L. Voreis, and 
was one of the oldest citizens in the county.
