Voreis, age 81, rural route No. 2, Mishawaka, died at 2:55 o'clock Thursday afternoon in his home. He had been in poor health for several months, death caused by the infirmities of age. He was born in Marshall county, Indiana, June 22, 1851, and came here 25 years ago from Plymouth, Ind. Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Chester and Herbert, both of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Frank Culp, Wakarusa, Ind., and Mrs. Alice Hively, Miami, Fla. He also leaves six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral rites will take place at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the L.H. Orvis chapel in South Bend. Rev. Elmer Ward Cole of First Christian church, South Bend, will officiate and burial will be in Highland cemetery. Mr. Vories was a member of the Loyal Americans lodge.
