A town of about 1,500 inhabitants, in Marshall county, on the Pittsburg, Fort
Wayne & Chicago railroad, ninety-five miles from Chicago and fifty-five miles
from Fort Wayne. It is located in the midst of a fine growing region, and
contains two churches, an excellent graded school, two saw mills, three planing
mills, a grist mill, a furniture, stave and carriage manufactories, stores, etc.
