For several years deceased had been a constant sufferer but continued to operate his dray until a few months ago whien his health became such that he was compelled to sell his draying business. The disease had gained such headway that in spite of all that medical skill could do he rapidly grew worse and for the past three months had been confined to his home. The deceased was one of Denver's older citizens having spent practically his entire life in this community. For many years he had operated a dray and this brought him into contact with practically every person in the community. To these he was known as a man of excellent habits, fine moral character and in the days before health gave way was able to meet most of the trials and troubles of life in a practical matter of fact way not being disposed to worry about matters that could be bettered in other ways. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon at two o'clock conducted by Rev. Melton of the Baptist Church. Burial was in the Mt. Zion cemetery.
