Her death followed a week's illness from complications common to old age. Deceased was the daughter of Rev. Jacob and Susana Burkholder and was born in Wisconsin, December 1, 1856, her age at death being 74 years, 10 months and 12 days. She was united in marriage to John M. See, February 10, 1878, and to this union were born three children. Her husband and one son, Ralph, preceded her in death, leaving to mourn their loss one daughter, Mrs. Clara B. Leedy, of Peru, and one son, Elmer See, of Anderson. A sister, Mrs. Ella Walters, of Nappanee, nine children, four great grandchildren and a host of friends and other relatives also survive. When but a mere child, she united with the German Reformed Church, of which her father was pastor, and lived a consistent Christian life. Mrs. See spent most of her life on a farm two miles northwest of Denver. Following the death of her husband she moved to Denver and from here went to Michigan City. About six years ago she moved to Peru where she resided until her death. The funeral was held from the Hammond Jackson funeral home in Peru at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. R. L. Haley, pastor of the Evangelical Church, in charge. Interment was made in the Mt. Zion cemetery north of Denver.
