Cousin 
Clendening--Robert D. Clendenning, 87-year-old retired Monroe County farmer, 
died Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Luther Kirk, at Judah, south of 
Harrodsburg. Surviving besides the daughter at whose home he died are the 
following children: Charles Clendenning, of Withall; Mrs. Frank Robertson, RR-
2; Everett Clendenning, Bloomington; Mrs. Russell Hawkins, Indianapolis; Mrs. 
William Franzmann, Bloomington, and Strickland Clendenning, RR-1; 28 
grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Union Baptist church at Buena 
Vista.
