Charles Bond, the 15 year old son of Philip Bond, met a horrible death while running the engine in Steel’s saw mill at William’s Crossing last Thursday evening. The accident was unnoticed as no one was near him at the time, but in some manner he fell into the line shaft and was clubbed to death. When discovered, physicians were summoned but he lived only a short time. It was found that his chest was crushed in and one arm broken. The remains were laid to rest Friday evening at Mt. Nebo.
