The Franklin Democrat, Friday, April 24, 1891, Volume XXXI Number 44, page 1 column 5
MORGANTOWN

Wm. H. Haggard, died of lung fever on the 18th inst [this month], aged fifty-nine
years [sic].  Mr. 
Haggard had lived an upright and honorable life and was classed among our best
citizens.  He leaves 
a wife and seven children to mourn the loss of an affectionate husband and loving
father.  His 
remains were interred in the Baptist cemetery of which church he was a member.  The
funeral was 
conducted by the Masonic lodge of which fraternity he belonged.
