The Franklin Democrat, Friday, July 7, 1899, Volume XXXIX, Number 52, page 1, column 1
Mrs. Effie C. Hancock, of Morgantown, who was injured several years ago in a
railroad wreck, died Sunday at 
Eastman’s sanitarium, Indianapolis. She had never recovered from the injuries
received at that time. Funeral 
services were held at Morgantown Tuesday evening, where the remains were taken for
burial.

Note:  The Indiana WPA Death Index, 1882-1920, referencing Book H-7, page 219,
records that Effie Hancock, 
a 38 year old white female, died 2 Jul 1899 in Indianapolis.
