The Franklin Democrat, Friday, February 26, 1897, Volume XXXVII, Number 33, page 6, column 2 MORGANTOWN.  Dave Kemp died last Friday from pneumonia and lung fever.  The funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church by Rev. Obenchain.  The remains were interred at the old Baptist cemetery, one-half mile west of town.
