The Franklin Democrat, Friday, January 13, 1899, Volume XXXIX, Number 27, page 1, column 2
Mrs. Samantha E. Kennedy, wife of Thomas Kennedy, mail agent on the F.F.& M.
railroad, died Saturday 
morning of consumption at her home in Martinsville.  Funeral services were held
Monday.  Deceased at one 
time lived near Edinburg.
