The sudden death of Maggie Satters [sic - Satter] last Saturday was quite a shock to this community. She had been failing in health for over a year from the dreadful disease of appendicitis, and on Wednesday of last week it was decided to perform an operation to save her life. She never rallied after the operation. Miss Satters [sic] was a good, kind girl, never known to have an enemy. She was 26 years of age. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment at the East Hill cemetery.
