The Franklin Democrat, Friday, July 22, 1898, Volume XXXIX Number 2, page 1 column 2 and page 6 column 5
LOCAL and PERSONAL.
Word was received here on Thursday that Mr. Taylor, step-father of David Sandifur,
of this city, had died 
suddenly of heart disease at his home in Morgantown.  Mr. Taylor had been in this
city on Monday and 
Tuesday visiting Mr. Sandifur who is very ill, and was then in his usual condition
of health and his death was a 
great surprise.

MORGANTOWN.
Grandpa Taylor died very suddenly last Thursday evening, only being sick a few
minutes previous to his 
death.  He was sick last winter, however, and had not fully recovered.  Mrs. Taylor
was at Franklin when her 
husband died but was notified by telephone.  Burial in Baptist cemetery.
