The Franklin Democrat, Friday, May 11, 1900, Volume XL, Number 45, page 1, column 3
The remains of Jacob Whetzel, whose body was interred at Mooresville in 1827-73
years ago-were exhumed 
on May 1st and removed and reburied in the Whetzel cemetery at Waverly.  He was one
of the first settlers of 
territorial days.-Mts. Dem.
