Leathers of Morgan County Indiana make and publish this my last will and testament. I give and bequeath to Virginia Harrington (subject to the payment of all my debts) all the property both real and personal that I shall die seized of, for and during her natural life for the following purpose, to wit: to take charge of, use, control and manage the same and collect the rents, proffits and income thereof and use the same for her own support and the support and education of my children, until the youngest of my children then living shall reach the age of twenty one (21) years. After my boys shall be come of age, then I direct that the income and profits of my estate shall be divided between Virginia Harrington and my daughters as shall be proper and just. If said Virginia Harrington shall at any time be married to any other person than her present husband or shall at any time fail or refuse to properly manage the said real and personal estate and furnish a home for my said children and use the said income for the support of herself and said children, then said estate shall be divided equally among my children then living. If all of my said children should die before said Virginia Harrington, then I direct that all of said property shall become the absolute property of said Virginia Harrington. I hereby appoint Seth Mathews executor of this my last will. Witness my hand this 11 day of May 1883 Samuel A Leathers Signed by the said Samuel A Leathers in our presence and acknowledged as his last will and testament and attested by us at his request in his presence. McCord May 11 1883 State of Indiana, Morgan County, ss: Be it known that on the 15th day of May 1883, before me, John Hardwick, Clerk of the Morgan County Circuit Court, personally came Benjamin Pointer who, being duly sworn and examined, states that said decedent, Samuel A Leathers did in his presence and in the presence of Wm E McCord on the 11th day of May 1883, sign, seal, publish and declare the foregoing writing to be his last will and testament. That said Wm E McCord and affiant signed the same as witnesses in the testator’s presence and in the presence of each other. That said testator was at that time of sound mind and memory, of full age to devise his property, and not under coercion or restraint. B.F.
