Land Sale between heirs of Joseph Surber of Pulaski County, Kentucky, recorded in Owen County, Indiana where two of the heirs resided. This Indenture of bargain sale and conveyance made and entered into this 12th day of October 1849(?) between Samual Surber and Nancy his wife of the County of Hendricks and State of Indiana and Isaac Surber and Artemisia Surber his wife of the County of Owen and State of Indiana and Jacob Surber and Katherine Surber his wife of the County of Owen State of Indiana of the one part and John Surber and James Surber of the County of Pulaski and State of Kentucky of the other part.  Witnessed to that the party of the first part for the consideration of the sum of Thirty Dollars  to them in hand paid doth by these presents grant bargain sale convey and confirm unto the said John Surber and James Surber all their rights, title, interest, and claims in and to one certain tract or parcel of Land situated lying and being in the County of Pulaski and State of Kentucky on the water of Indian Creek containing Four hundred  ten acres be the same more or less and is the same tract of land upon which Joseph Surber resided at the time of his death and descended to his heirs.  The Intent hereby intended to by conveyed in  said tract of Land is the three eleventh of the whole  tract and they also  convey their Interest in the Widow's Dower in and to said tract of land and also all their interest in and to the personal estate of the said Joseph Surber which they are entitled to as children and Heirs of said Joseph Surber Dec'd.  The said John and James Surber to have and to hold the above described tract of Land and personal Estate to themselves and their heirs forever and the said Samual Surber & wife, Isaac Surber & wife, & Jacob Surber & wife for themselves and their heirs agree that they will warrant and forever defend the title against the Claim of themselves and their heirs and against the Claim or Claims of all and every other person or persons whomsoever their interest in the (illegible)  excepted during her life and then to  vest in the said John and James Surber. In Testimony whereof the said Samual Surber and Nancy his wife, Isaac Surber and Artemisia his wife and Jacob Surber and Katherine his wife (illegible).
