The Franklin Democrat, Friday, August 12, 1898, Volume XXXIX, Number 5, page 1, column 3
Rev. Allen Hill, formerly located in this city died August 4 at his home in Spencer.
 Deceased was pastor of the 
Baptist church there and 70 years of age.  The remains were taken to Galveston, Cass
County for burial.
