Porter County, Indiana BLACHLY CEMETERY Union Township - Porter County This cemetery is very old, but still in use and well cared for. It is on Joliet Road headed West, just before it meets Highway 30. The West side is the newest side. The S. E. corner of the cemetery is filled with graves ( pioneers of Porter County), the stones no longer there. The cemetery was founded by Dr. William Boyd Blachly who came here from Blachlyville, Ohio. He was a founder and designer of that city, and practiced medicine there as well. Quite a few Blachlys (Rynear and descendants) are buried in Adams Cemetery, Morgan Township, Porter Co., The very old data, I found in a record book at the Porter Co. Library genealogy section. F.
