Gossett/Hageman Cemetery Porter County, Indiana Submitted by Jill Bloomberg                      GOSSETT/HAGEMAN CEMETERY                  Liberty Township - Porter County The cemetery is in Liberty Township, located behind a house at 899 N. On highway 149 way back in the trees. Mrs. Jane Blachly read the cemetery February 11, 1966.  It was updated August 1, 1994 by Ed & Doris Brozak for the Northwest Indiana Genealogic Society. The first saw and grist mill was erected by William Gossett on Salt Creek in 1836, and he also erected the first frame house in the township which was used fora church and a school house.  This information was found in the Lake Calumet Region of Indiana, Vol. 1.
