STONER CEMETERY                             Morgan Township - Porter County         The Cemetery was located South of Division Road and West of Sager Road in Morgan Township.  The previous records showed 1 stone remained: STONER, Sarah (Harlan) w/o Samuel  b.  1816  d.  9-23-1843          married 2-16-1840.                         CADWELL CEMETERY                      Union Twp. - Porter Co.         The following information was taken from previous records in the library. "There were 2 stones seen in 1953 about 200 ft south of road 50 N. About 20 ft. Into the woods."      CADWELL, Chester P.             b.  9-18-1788   d.  1-1867      CADWELL, Phila (Daniels)        b.  1799        d.  1-7-1869 CLIFFORD / OLD CATHOLIC CEMETERY Porter County, Indiana This cemetery was located at 150 West and 350 N. On the west side of 150 West. "Patrick Clifford arrived in Center Township in 1854 from Ireland and settled 2 1/2 miles North West of Valparaiso.  An 1876 map shows the cemetery on the Clifford farm. William Cronican died January 20, 1879.  He was buried at Old Catholic Cemetery, but will be moved to the new Catholic cemetery, St. Paul and placed in family plots. The new Catholic cemetery is St. Paul located on Sturdy Road South of Highway 30.   It is South of Graceland and Maplewood Cemeteries at the intersection of Comeford road just before the railroad tracks.                   SAUK TRAIL / CONGDON CEMETERY                       Union Twp. - Porter Co.         The cemetery is located at 666 W. On route 30, about 200 feet south of Route 30.  It is located on the far west side of someone's private property under a tree.  It was recently found in 1993 by Northwest Indiana Genealogical Society.         The following information was taken from previous records.         "In 1876 William P. Congdon owned the land S 1/2 sec 23 east of 750 W. And 200 ft. South of Highway 30.  The cemetery has a wooden fence around it.  There were 6 stones at one time, 5 children and James Congdon."         CONGDON, James  d.  7-2-1858     53 y's, 25 d's                          HOOSIER NEST CEMETERY                         Union Twp. - Porter Co. The following information was found in the library. "The cemetery was located a stones throw from Hoosier Nest north of 450 N. And west of 675 W.   Mr. Peters was the 4th owner of this property. He and his 2 wives and a son-in-law are buried there." KINNE #1 /  FLINT LAKE CEMETERY Center Township - Valparaiso, IN The cemetery is located on Route 49 and 600 N. On the southeast corner on Route 49.  The cemetery is nicely cared for.  It wa reently up-dated for Northwest Indiana Genealogiacal Society, September 6, 1992. This row is nearest the gate. Cyrus and Luke were brothers.  Emeline was a wife of Luke and Marion a son of Luke. D. 9-13-1873  23y,10m,8d KINNE #3 CEMETERY The cemetery was found in September 1993.  The owners of the property showed us where the cemetery was located.  It is very over grown and hard to get to.  It is quite a way behind the house.  We only found one stone so we are using the previous records. B.      d. 6-12-1865    5m KINNE, Infant son of C. & L.                d. 10-21-1854 KINNE, Sarah dau of Marion Kinne Infant son of Sherman                         LEONARD CEMETERY                      Union Twp. - Porter Co.         The cemetery has not been found recently but previous records say the Leonard brothers owned most north 1/2 section of 32 in Union Township.  A stone was found in the woods and taken to a farm house located on the southeast corner of 100 N. and 250 W.  several years ago.                           SEDLEY CEMETERY                         Union Township - Porter County         The cemetery is located between Sedley Road and 375 W. And South of the railroad tracks in Union Township.  It is located behind Simatovich farm off of 325 W.  It is very hard to find without hlep.         The cemetery was a small private family cemetery, and has not been used for many years.  It was recently visied by Florence Peters, Nov. 10, 1993 for Northwest Indiana Genealogical Society.  Only 1 stone Alanthus Curtis, was found at this time.  There may be more, but they could not be seen because of Fall leaves.         CURTIS, Alanthus b.  4-11-1791   d. 10-25-1857  66 y's, 6 m's, 14 d's.         CURTIS, Elizabeth  d.  4-5-1865.         WALSEY, Caroline  w/o  John  d.  4-8-1818  31 y's, 6 m's, 8 d's.         Previous records show that Elizabeth Curtis' son Seth Curtis gave 1/2 acre plot to Union Township to use as a cemetery.  N. E. corner S. E. 1/4 Sec. 18.                            AGNEW CEMETERY                     Morgan Township - Porter County         The first death in Morgan Township was Mr. David Agnew who froze to death in a late fall storm.  He was buried in Morgan Prairie in 1835.  David Agnew, Jr.  was born shortly after his fathers death in a snowstorm at Pleasant Cove April 4, 1835.                       STRONG CEMETERY                   Union Twp. - Porter Co.         "The cemetery was located north of 100 N. And east of County Line Rd. In section 27.  There were 4 children of Osson & Emeline (Cadwell) Strong buried in unmarked graves."         STRONG, Philo  Amelia   b.  9-19-1847  d.  6-30-1848  1st death                                 TASSINONG CEMETERY                                  Morgan Township - Porter County         Mrs. Hall of Tassinong died January 28, 1882 at her home and was interred in Tassinong Cemetery.     Shirley Anderson  -  Highway 49 & Baums Bridge Road South.                    CEMETERY  - NAME UNKNOWN                     Union Twp. - Porter Co.         The following information was taken from previous records. "In 1872 a man was found hanging from a tree in section 36 south of 100 N. And west of 500 W.   He was buried nearby.  Some years later 2 little girls that died from Small Pox were also buried nearby."                          WERNER/WARNER CEMETERY                         Morgan Township - Porter County         1876 map shows L. Warner owned the land around the cemetery in sec 25 North of 500 S.  The treess and tombstones have been moved out of the field to a fence row.                    WHITE /WHITE SETTLEMENT CEMETERY                        Morgan Twp. - Porter Co.         The cemetery is located at 82 E. 150 S. (7/8 mile east of Smoke Road) in Valparaiso, In.  It is on the south side of 150 S. Just a short distance east of 75 E.  It is very hard to see from the road because it is up on a hill with a fence around it.  It is also very hard to get to.  It was there in 1993, but not cared for.  The following information was taken from previous records in the library and we are grateful for those records.         "The 1876 map shows a church in SE 1/4 of sec. 12 and also there was a Meeting House.  The church was called White's Methodist Faith Church.  The following information was given by Mr. Allen J. White of Valparaiso, IN to Mrs. Josephus Blachly of the DAR, February, 1961.  The following stones were in the cemetery."
