Children: Guy Gartley, 1901-1956, Glenore (Glen) Gartley, 1903-1961, Doris Emma Gartley, 1909-2004, Mabel Elizabeth Gartley, 1910-2000 and James W. Gartley, 1915-1993. First grandchild, Karen ann Rowles Reynolds Carver, b. 14 May 1934 Winchester, Randolph, IN to Doris Gartley and Carl M. Rowles. Additional Comments: John A. Gartley loved dogs, his gardens and goldfish. His last dog, "Pat", was born in 1934 and ended by being best friend to Karen until death of both grandfather, John and "Pat" in 1949.
