Versailles Republican
WHITE, Vestine Yater, daughter of Abraham and Martha "Patsey" Rea Yater died 
in 5 May 1923. She was born near Versailles on 21 March 1848. She married 
Christopher "Christie" White on 20 May 1868.  She had four sons, Harry L., 
Lewis L., Guy B. and one who died in infancy. She joined the M.E. Church in 
1868. Her husband died nine years ago and son Guy B. died two years ago. 
Vestine Yater White suffered a stroke of paralysis while returning from Cliff 
Hill Cemetery on 27 April 1923.  She was 75 years old. Survivors:  Two sons, 
Lewis L. of Versailles and Harry L of Birmingham, AL. She was buried at Cliff 
Hill Cemetery.
