She married Abraham Yater, an Osgood pioneer merchant and lumberman on 3 May 1860. She was the daughter of Stephen Harding and was the last of nine children and the last one of the pioneer settlers of Osgood. She came to Osgood in 1857 when it was still known as Claytown. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P. A. Row at Osgood, IN on 10 Aug. 1918 at the age of 80 yrs and 3 mos old. Her father, was the Honorable Stephen Harding of New York and one time Major General of the U.S. Army and later Governor of Utah Territory. She was the niece of Dr. Myron Harding of Lawrenceburg, who was taken capture with Miss Frances Solocum in Indian Battle at Wilkes Berre, PA.
